The true star of Jack’s menu is its remarkable blend of Southern staples and fast-food favorites. Imagine sinking your teeth into the savory Steak and Egg Biscuit, where flaky, buttery biscuits cradle tender steak and perfectly cooked eggs — a breakfast that promises to fuel your day with pure satisfaction. For a late morning treat, the Big Breakfast Sandwich bursts with rich flavors and is expertly complemented by a tall glass of sweet, refreshing Southern Iced Tea, served just right to soothe and invigorate.
Craving something more classic? The Chicken Sammich & Fries is an irresistible choice boasting crispy, golden chicken paired with crispy fries that locals swear by. As one customer, William P., fondly recalls, their “chicken sandwich with fries” left a lasting impression during a chilly Alabama night, made even more memorable by the staff’s warm hospitality and tales of Jack’s history. The fries here deserve a special mention — perfectly seasoned and cooked to a crispy, golden finish that offers the ideal crunch with every bite.
Dessert lovers will find solace in the indulgent Milkshakes, creamy and thick, a perfect cool-down companion to the rich flavors on your plate. And don’t miss the house-made Fried Pies, sweet pockets of nostalgia that echo Southern tradition in every scrumptious bite.
Jack’s Family Restaurant combines speedy, friendly service with a genuine sense of community. Jamie Griffin, another patron, appreciated the fast and friendly drive-through service and noted the delightful biscuit paired with their steak and egg combo, further emphasizing the kitchen’s attention to authentic, crave-worthy Southern cooking. While the hash browns may run a bit crispier than some prefer, it only adds to the varied experiences available here, guaranteeing something for every palate.
Stepping into Jack’s feels like stepping into a kitchen where love and pride are poured into every dish. It’s this sincerity that sets Jack’s apart from chain fast-food outlets, offering a genuinely comforting dining experience without compromising on speed or quality. As Bert Kuyrkendall puts it, Jack’s delivers “a higher level of real foodness,” with spot-on fries, chicken tenders, and just the right touch of sweetness in their tea.
Whether you’re a traveler passing through or a local looking for a dependable, delicious meal, Jack’s Family Restaurant is a must-visit destination for those who cherish Southern hospitality and legendary flavors served in a casual, inviting setting.
Loved it! We were traveling through Alabama on our way back to NJ from NOLA when we saw a sign for Jack’s. After Googling and seeing the great looking food, we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. Trent and his staff made us feel warmly welcomed on a bitter cold night of long driving, telling us all about Jack’s and its history. We tried the chicken sandwich with fries which were tasted as great as they looked. The Come Back Sauce had a nice kick and paired beautifully with the chicken and fries. The restaurant itself was warm and inviting, very clean and well stocked. Trent and his staff’s hospitality made our first experience at Jack’s an amazing one, and we will definitely be back again. Thank you!! - Will & Andrea. P.S. Please open a Jack’s in New Jersey!
Fast, friendly drive through service. Stopped by for breakfast and ordered a steak and egg combo with hash browns and a sweet tea. The biscuit was really good but the hash browns were over cooked, very crispy. So people prefer them that way I'm sure, but they were a little over done for me. I still ate them though. Overall great service.
Came through at 10:30am. Ordered a 4 piece chicken finger meal with a Dr.Pepper. They gave me sweet tea even though I asked at the window if it was Dr.Pepper. They did give me 5 chicken fingers tho so I suppose I cant complain too much.
Great service, fries, chicken tenders and tea were spot on, it’s just a higher level of real foodness than other fast food restaurants
